Terms of Service

By accessing or using InboxContext ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and InboxContext ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") regarding your use of InboxContext.

InboxContext is a Chrome browser extension that integrates with Gmail to provide:

• Contact context and relationship insights within the Gmail sidebar
• Email history and communication patterns with contacts
• Meeting preparation features using Google Calendar data
• Notes and tags for organizing contacts
• AI-powered features including conversation summaries and commitment detection (Pro tier)
• LinkedIn profile enrichment (Pro tier)
• Reminder creation synced with Google Tasks (Pro tier)

The Service requires access to your Google account (Gmail, Calendar, and Tasks) to function. By using InboxContext, you authorize us to access this data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old to use InboxContext. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you:

• Are at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• Are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
• Will use the Service only for lawful purposes

To use InboxContext, you must sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Google account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

5.1 Free Tier

InboxContext offers a free tier with limited features, including:

• Up to 50 contacts with notes and tags
• 6 months of email history
• 3 meeting prep sessions per week
• Basic relationship scoring
• Signature parsing

5.2 Pro Tier

The Pro subscription ($12/month or $99/year) includes:

• Unlimited contacts
• Full email history
• Unlimited meeting prep
• AI-powered features (summaries, talking points, commitment detection)
• LinkedIn enrichment (150 lookups/month)
• Reminder creation
• Data export

5.3 Pricing Changes

We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle. We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect for your subscription.

6.1 Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Paystack. By subscribing to Pro, you agree to Paystack's Terms of Service. We do not store your payment card details.

6.2 Billing Cycle

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your selected plan. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel.

6.3 Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new Pro subscriptions. If you are not satisfied, contact admin@inboxcontext.com within 14 days of your initial purchase for a full refund. Refunds are not available after the 14-day period or for renewal charges.

6.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting support. Upon cancellation:

• You will retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period
• Your account will revert to the Free tier
• Your data (notes, tags) will be preserved but subject to Free tier limits

You agree not to use InboxContext to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual property rights
• Send spam, bulk messages, or unsolicited communications
• Harvest or collect email addresses or personal information without consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8.1 Our Property

InboxContext, including its code, design, logos, and documentation, is owned by InboxContext and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you create using InboxContext, including notes and tags. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

8.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about InboxContext, you grant us the right to use this feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

InboxContext integrates with third-party services:

• Google APIs: Gmail, Calendar, and Tasks. Your use is subject to Google's Terms of Service.
• Apollo.io: For LinkedIn enrichment. Subject to Apollo's Terms.
• OpenAI: For AI features. Subject to OpenAI's Terms.
• Paystack: For payment processing. Subject to Paystack's Terms.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By using InboxContext, you acknowledge that:

• We access your Google data (email, calendar, tasks) to provide the Service
• We comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements
• Email content used for signature parsing is processed locally in your browser and not sent to our servers
• AI features (Pro) send email content to OpenAI for processing

11.1 Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to InboxContext. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

11.2 Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice before discontinuing core features or the entire Service.

11.3 API Dependencies

InboxContext depends on Google APIs. Changes to Google's APIs, terms, or policies may affect the Service's functionality. We are not liable for disruptions caused by third-party API changes.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will meet your specific requirements
• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• AI-generated content (summaries, suggestions) will be accurate or complete
• LinkedIn enrichment data will be current or accurate
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INBOXCONTEXT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF INBOXCONTEXT.

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless InboxContext, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your content or data

15.1 Termination by You

You may stop using InboxContext at any time by uninstalling the extension and, optionally, deleting your account. To delete your account and all associated data, contact admin@inboxcontext.com.

15.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
• We may delete your account and data after 30 days
• Provisions that should survive termination (including limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will remain in effect

16.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to contact us at admin@inboxcontext.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

16.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16.3 Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the appropriate courts, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

17.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and InboxContext regarding InboxContext.

17.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

17.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

17.5 Notices

We may send notices to you via email (to the address associated with your Google account) or by posting on the Service. You may send notices to us at admin@inboxcontext.com.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on this page
• Updating the "Effective Date" at the top
• Sending an email notification for significant changes

Your continued use of InboxContext after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.
